There are 37 beaches on the 37 square-mile island of Saint Martin and/or Sint Maarten. Cupcoy Beach is little bit unusual from the normal aspect of the St Martin regular beach as its sand is golden and not white.It is extremely beautiful and the best part is still to come: here clothes are optional as it is a semi-official nude beach of the Dutch part of the island.It is protected from wind, so here is the place to get the perfect tan.
Dawn Beach is one perfect beach which can be considered the perfect holiday destination. This white beach is framed by the greenery of the Sint Maarten’s mountains resulting one spectacular view. The beach is about one mile long and it provide enough space for some beach volley or a prolonged walk. In addition, Mr. Busby’s bar is here and you can experiment more than a drink as some high quality cuisine is avialble.
Explorer Island is one special beach as it can be accessed only by boat. You can arrive here either from the French side of the island or from the Duch one. Some palm trees, not more than 15, white sand and an amazing view. This is what Explorer Island is about.
Friar’s Bay is the ideal beach for a whole family holiday as it is protected from wind and surfing. Moreover here is Friar’s Beach Café, where you can taste a bit of the French special snacks. Not far from this one is Kali’s Beach Bar and Restaurant where lots of people come to enjoy the Catch of the day and Kali’s amazing beach parties.
Gallion Beach is considered to be Surfer’s paradise as it is in a moon-shaped golf. Here is the place for trying out all kind of water sports such as snorkeling, windsurfing , paddle boats or just swimming. It is also a place preferred by families with children and at the same time, it remains a meeting place for the most sportive type.
There are many beaches on the island of Saint martin and they each offer something special. Most probably, each tourist goes for the closest one, but everybody should do a little research before booking one’s holiday. After all, you will spend some time at the beach.
